Our verdict: A terrific product!
We did not think it was possible to tune the sonic properties of a Lyra Helicon so! This product is basically recommendable and necessary! (Not only suitable for systems from "Lyra"! It works equally well with cartridges from Benz, Clearaudio, Ortofon etc.).
It minimizes the mechanical wear of the groove and the diamond caused by the scanning process itself.
The Lyra formulation of the SPT needle cleaner has clearly audible positive effects on sound reproduction!
In addition, from the technical side, strict attention has been paid to ensure that the chemical composition of the SPT liquid does not dissolve the adhesive substance - which bonds the diamond to the needle carrier. This is not ensured with many other needle cleaners.
